Skate the Cape is not just your ordinary shred festival; it's a unique experience that brings together adrenaline-pumping longboard skateboard competitions, electrifying live music concerts, and a memorable camping adventure all set against the stunning backdrop of Cape Henlopen State Park. During the day, participants can witness thrilling skateboard races where riders showcase their skills and speed in competitive events, as well as awe-inspiring freestyle performances that push the boundaries of what is possible on a skateboard. As the sun sets, the festival transforms into a vibrant music hub with live performances from talented artists that will keep the energy high and the crowd moving. Skate the Cape Shred Festival 10 -Skate Event Schedule

Skate Event Schedule - All events take place at Fort Miles

Participants must have a Saturday or Sunday Skate Pass to join the competitions on those days.  Must wear a helmet when skateboarding on the downhill. We adhere to a strict timeline of events, so please be ready to compete at the designated start times.

10am - KID’S CAPE SESH 

Free event for kids to stoke them out and learn safety + basics of skateboarding

*Parents must attend w/ child

11am - Slide Jam (Am & Pro)

12:15pm - Longest Slide Competition (Heel, Toe, Coleman)

12:45pm - Award Ceremony

1pm - Hippy Jump Contest (Open)

1:45pm - Game of Skate (Open)

2:30pm - Longboard Dance Contest (Open)

3pm - Award Ceremony

All events take place at CHSP Group Campground

The Camping Pass grants you entry to live music throughout the weekend! If you're staying outside the CHSP Group Campground, you need to buy a "Skate the Cape Music Pass" to enter the campground during live music sessions. There is no parking available at the CHSP Group Campground; please use the Herring Point parking lot.
