I met Katrina (owner of Kategory 5) on my east coast sales trip in Spring 2014. She loved the grassroot feel of our longboards and went crazy over our vibrant graphics especially the Rad Banana. Kategory 5 Surf Company opened its doors in 2012 with the goal of becoming Tampa Bay's go to destination for the Surf Lifetstyle. They offer the latest fashions in surf style, beach accessories for the entire family, name brands and grassroot brands like Faceplant Boardriders. The hardgoods at the shop include used surf boards, a variety of new skimboards, skateboards/longbaords, and surf accessories.
Katrina owns and operates the shop on her own and appreciated the fact the Faceplant was rider owned and operated on the East Coast USA. "We work in a laid back casual environment where we like to have fun. Our friendly staff will make you feel right at home and treat you like family."-Katrina
